Indian Head Massage (Champissage)

Champi is an original Indian word meaning Head Massage.

Indian Head Massage is performed whilst sitting on a chair, with no need to undress. It is a stress relieving and relaxing massage over shoulders, upper arms, neck, head and face – and its effects are felt immediately.

Indian Champissage is a simple and highly beneficial therapy that has been popular throughout the Indian Subcontinent for over a1000 years. In India it is customary to incorporate massage into everyday life. Babies are massaged daily from birth until the age of 2-3 years and then once or twice a week. When the child reaches the age of around seven it is taught how to share in this family tradition. Indian women use the massage along with oils to maintain the health and condition of their hair.
