The experience of Hypnotherapy is being pleasantly and deeply relaxed.

It may surprise you to learn that this calm, relaxed or trance like state, can be experienced several times in your day.
When you are daydreaming and can hear all around you but you are in a lovely relaxed space. Or just before drifting off to sleep, feeling neither asleep nor awake.
This is why people do not feel as if they are in an Hypnotic Trance. But it is whilst you are in this relaxed state that we can contact the unconscious mind, which is a reservoir of unrecognised potential and knowledge as well as being the unwitting source of many of our problems.

Realistically, no one can be hypnotised against their will and even when hypnotised, a person can still reject any suggestions. So co-operation is very much an important part of its success.
